THESE FASCINATING STORIES AND MORE CAN BE FOUND IN ‘ARTICLES’ SECTION:
1) WHAT THEY SOUGHT ACROSS THE SEVEN SEAS.
Europeans have valued oriental spices since ancient times. Without pepper, meat would be flavorless and without cloves, wine would turn sour. It was Arab traders who introduced these spices to Europe, but they kept the location of their sources a closely guarded secret. Anyone who spoke up had their tongue cut out. For a long time, merchants used the route through Byzantium to transport aromatic goods from Asia to Europe. However, in 1453, the Ottomans captured Constantinople and imposed heavy taxes on all transit cargo. The price of oriental spices then skyrocketed in Europe, with some becoming worth more than gold!
Recognizing that controlling the spice trade would grant them global dominance, the monarchs of Portugal and Spain, two maritime powers, began competing for control of the trade…
2) THE HISTORY OF THE CUBAN CIGAR AND COUNTERFEITS.
When Christopher Columbus discovered the Americas in 1492, he believed that he had finally found the route to India he had been searching for. He called the indigenous people ‘Indians’. The natives called themselves Arawak. They welcomed the visitors with hospitality and gifts of fruit, meat, drink, and some dried leaves from a fragrant plant. Columbus accepted the gifts but threw the leaves overboard deeming them useless. If only he had known what he was throwing away!
3) ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WINE.
“Wine should be forbidden for young men under eighteen. Those aged twenty to forty should drink in moderation, while those over forty may drink as much as they wish to ease the hardships of old age and rediscover their youthful spontaneity…’ (Plato, an ancient Greek philosopher).
– Glühwein, or mulled wine, has been known in Europe since the 13th century as the best remedy for colds and a cure for many ailments. The origins of this magical hot drink can be traced back to wine merchants in ancient Rome.
– Salted wine? How could it be? The ancient Greeks made wine from grapes and drank it diluted with water. They took water from mountain springs. But one day, the wine accidentally came into contact with salty seawater. The philosopher Pliny the Elder recounts how this happened and the result.
– The wine that was invented for the French king, and what the English sailors made of it.
Also how Caribbean rum was created and how much pirates enjoyed it. -
“THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN EUROPE”.
This is how the enemy press referred to him during the Second World War. His friends called him ‘Long Otto’. He was one of Hitler’s personal commandos. This story recounts how Otto Skorzeny, also known as ‘Scarface’, kidnapped the Italian dictator Mussolini. Based on his memoirs and it is published in the History & Politics section. -
WHERE DID THE NAZIS HIDE THE GOLD?
Much of it remains undiscovered, waiting to be unearthed by daring adventurers. In my book, ‘The Hidden Traces of the Grey Wolf’, I used the memoirs of senior Third Reich officials, declassified documents from secret service archives, and other rare sources. Stories from the book are published in the ‘History & Politics’ section. -
THE CONFESSION OF A SOVIET SPY.
How did the Russians suddenly become the owners of the atomic bomb? While the United States was supporting the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program during the Second World War, the Russians stole American military and industrial secrets by any means necessary. Did you know that during President Roosevelt’s tenure, there were more Stalinist spies in the United States than there were American senators on Capitol Hill? An American army major, who was formerly the inspector responsible for sending aid shipments to Russia, wrote a book about it all.
In my 4 publications collectively titled ‘Once Upon a Time in America,’ I present the most sensational facts from this book, including the confessions of a Stalinist spy to the US Congress. The spy provided FBI investigators and members of the American government with information on how these secrets were stolen. Published in HISTORY & POLITICS section. -
THE EDITING IN WRITING IS ENDLESS
Sometimes, readers ask me to include more photos and images in my publications. Friends, I achieve this through a process of repeated editing and illustration. For writers, this process is called creativity, and it’s endless! For example, Ernest Hemingway edited his work between 50 and 150 times. This took years, which is why most of his work was published posthumously. If you revisit my publications after some time, you will notice lots of new edits, both textual and illustrative. I follow the technique of striking a balance between text and illustrations. Too much text and the reader gets bored. However, if there are too many illustrations, the reader does not notice the text, focusing instead on the pictures. -
PEOPLE MAKE ASSUMPTIONS…BUT GOD DISPOSES
One of my novellas is called ‘Caribbean Lobster’. It recounts the true tale of a romance between a wealthy businesswoman and a formerly wealthy man who has lost everything. Against this subtle psychological backdrop, the woman attempts to find a compromise in their relations. What happens in the end? Published in NOVELS section. -
THE JOKES OF MADAME GEOGRAPHY.
One day, while out exploring, I found myself on the Caribbean coast of a small country fringed with coconut palms. This tropical paradise teemed with mangoes, bananas, pineapples, oranges and other exotic fruits. I loved it so much that I decided to settle there. I have been living there ever since. Parrots screeching amongst the greenery of the palm trees, pelicans put on a show diving from great heights into the sea to catch fish, and frigate birds soared above it all in the sea breeze. This earthly paradise is full of magical exoticism and inspired the American writer Ernest Hemingway to pen one of his finest stories: The Old Man and the Sea. Ian Fleming, the Englishman who wrote the James Bond novels, also wrote them here.I have also written six books here, including the humorously titled ‘Da Breezee Belizee’. In it, I explore the region’s history and the exploits of Caribbean pirates and adventurers.
I also recount my experiences of getting to know the locals and learning how to make dry wine from tropical fruits. Stories from the book can be found in almost every category on the website.
We all love geography and travel. But what many people don’t realize is that geography is full of jokes and pranks. For example, it once misled Christopher Columbus, who mistook the Bahamas for India and called the locals ‘Indians’. The mistake was discovered, but the name stuck! I call these kinds of stories ‘salty’, and you can find them in my book. For example, ‘Madame Geography’s Joke’ and ‘Who Gave a Country Its Name’. I’m sure you’ll enjoy them! -
MYSTERY OF THE SEVENTH WONDER OF THE WORLD
In 1716, King Frederick William I of Prussia, the father of Frederick the Great – presented Tsar Peter the Great with his yacht and a collection from the Royal Palace in Berlin in a gesture of friendship. This collection was made of the finest quality Baltic amber. In return, the king received 55 two-meter-tall Russian soldiers to guard him. The unique gift was installed in the Tsar’s palace near Saint Petersburg, the new capital of Russia, and became known as the Amber Room.In 1941, the Germans pre-empted the Russians, who were preparing to invade Europe. As the German army advanced towards the city, the Russian troops hastily retreated. The Russians only just managed to remove the museum’s furniture. Following Stalin’s betrayal, the Germans decided to return the gift from the King of Prussia, as they no longer believed in friendship. The Amber Room panels were packed into 22 crates and sent to Königsberg, the capital of East Prussia. There, the collection was assembled and put on public display in the royal palace. A few years later, the Germans were retreating. The Amber Room was dismantled, placed in containers, and then it disappeared. This unique exhibit was never found. Then, one day, traces of it were discovered, forming the basis of my story Who Stole the Amber Room? You can find it in the STORIES section.

WHAT WAS THE GESTAPO CHIEF’S LAST MISSION?
In April 1945, just days before the collapse of the Third Reich, Hitler disappeared. He was no coward and could easily have shot himself to avoid capture by the enemy. Every intelligence agency in the world searched for him, but to no avail. Decades passed and many secret documents were declassified. Having analyzed these files, former UN war crimes investigator John Cencich claims that Hitler survived and escaped from Berlin. Edgar Hoover, the head of the FBI, was also convinced of this. Stalin searched for Hitler until the end of his life. It seems that Hitler’s disappearance forever remained a mystery to everyone. But if Hitler did escape besieged Berlin in late April 1945, who helped him? After the war, the Secret Service recruited Gestapo chief General Müller, who became a special adviser to the US President and helped the FBI to purge the American government of Stalinist spies during the Cold War. Following Müller’s death in the early 1980s, his diaries came into the possession of a prominent journalist, and a Californian publishing house began releasing the series. However, the CIA stopped the publication of further volumes because the diaries contained scandalous information about many politicians.
Fortunately, I was able to get the volumes that had already been published. You can read the Gestapo chief’s account of Hitler’s escape in the HISTORY AND POLITICS category. -
WHO THEY ARE..?
The world community still fails to understand the character, mentality, customs and traditions of Russia’s vast population. This geopolitical entity comprises more than two dozen Asian tribes whose ancestors were invading Europe in the time of Genghis Khan. In the 20th century, under the leadership of Stalin — one of the main perpetrators of the Second World War — they invaded Europe again. This resulted in the long-term occupation of Eastern European countries. Now, they intend to try it again this by starting a war in Ukraine and threatening the world with stolen nuclear weapons from West. The world community has never understood that Russia is not a Christian country, but rather a nation of Asians obsessed with the idea of a new world war.
The ‘JOURNALISM’ category presents a series of political pamphlets. The publications about zombified savages is written in Russian, primarily for those who pretend themselves to be civilized while plotting the destruction of civilization. -
HUNTING FOR TREASURES.
My publication, Pirate Atolls, has been read by thousands of visitors to the website, and I have received lots of feedback. Many people have asked me to continue with this topic. It is continued in publications such as ‘Revenge of the Yellow Idol’, ‘Fangs of Chinchorro’ and ‘Treasures of the Golden Convoy’ which feature pirate lairs and sunken treasure hunters. Other stories recount the adventures of Sir Francis Drake and tales of Caribbean and Indian Oceans pirates. Enjoy reading! -

Proper nutrition is all it takes — no painful diets or excessive exercise required! This publication in the ‘ARTICLES’ section contains useful, practical advice. -
BLACK TUESDAY
“The third great war will begin when the great city burns”
(from the prophecies of Nostradamus, 1654).
On 11 September 2001, America was dealt a devastating blow. The targets were symbols of its power: the World Trade Center in Manhattan and the Pentagon, the center of the country’s military might. The audacity of the attacks sent shockwaves through the country, and thousands of Americans lost their lives.
On that terrible and sad day for all Americans, I promised myself that I would find those responsible. Day after day, I gathered information by analyzing television and radio broadcasts, as well as newspaper articles. Those who lie for a long time will sooner or later make mistakes and be exposed. The series of publications, collectively titled “Black Tuesday”, is my personal 10-years investigation into those tragic events. I am presenting it on this website in the ‘History & Politics’ section. The titles of the publications in the series are: ‘No One Needs Peace’, ‘When the Big City Was Burning’, ‘The Mystique of the Ruins’ and ‘Clients, Contractors and Insiders’.

HOW STALIN SEARCHED FOR HITLER
For those interested in lesser-known facts about the Second World War (1939–1945), the chapters in my book Hidden Traces of the Grey Wolf reveal some of the war’s most intriguing secrets. One such mystery concerns Hitler’s disappearance from besieged Berlin. According to J. Edgar Hoover, the then head of the FBI, there was nothing in the documents collected by his agency to suggest that Hitler was dead. Stalin spent the rest of his life searching for Hitler, convinced that he was alive and in hiding. Speculation about this had been circulating around the world for years. I found information in rare primary sources and the memoirs of officers from Hitler’s inner circle. You can read the results of my research in several publications. -
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF DESPAIR
This is the true story of my life. Desperate people can do crazy things to fulfil their dreams. The story explores value of freedom and how it should be understood.
‘On the Other Side of Despair’, ‘Circumnavigation on a Whaler’, ‘Escape to Freedom’ and ‘Hedger’ are all completely autobiographical stories, depicting the author’s life in Europe and America and the ocean in between.
You can find it in the ‘STORIES’ section. In my writing, I use the ‘alter ego’ technique. -
THE HISTORY FOR DUMMIES
Every child is born curious. However, many lose this curiosity as they grow up, becoming immersed in the mundane realities of life and susceptible to propaganda. People live by myths and allow dogma to dominate their minds.
In my search for truth, I studied religious teachings, but I soon became convinced that they were even more mythical than political theories, and that they contained more hate than love.
Then I turned to the writings of philosophers. Some of these were the product of warped thinking: their authors incited the masses to commit murder and were punished for it. One cannot find happiness by making others unhappy. As the Russian literary classic Leo Tolstoy said, ‘The world is ruled by madmen. Normal people cannot…”I studied the works of sociologists. They observe people’s habits and explain their behavior. Here are the conclusions of the French sociologist Gustave Le Bon: ‘He who knows how to mislead a crowd easily becomes its master, and he who tries to re-educate it always becomes its victim.’ Sociology describes people’s weaknesses and politicians’ crimes with piercing clarity. I trust sociologists more than philosophers.
Ultimately, I became interested in the experiences of people who had lived through the war, witnessed death, and endured hardship. I read books and diaries written by soldiers who had fought on both sides of the front line. In their stories, I found what I was looking for. The truth always lies in the neutral zone between the trenches. Politicians steal the glory of soldiers and leave them with the shame of defeat.
Through studying events and facts, comparing expert judgements, and identifying cause-and-effect relationships, I became convinced that politicians and academics consistently present an inaccurate version of history to the public. I therefore decided to write my own book. My aim is to demonstrate in it how propaganda replaces rational thought with nonsense. Some interesting information from the book is here, on this website.

DO YOU LIKE TO READ A LOVE STORIES?
I once had an idea to write a story of two people whose passions intertwined. However, I soon discovered that some personalities were interfering with the plot. They insisted that I include them in the narrative, claiming that without their involvement my story would lack intrigue. I tried to object, pointing out that other people’s advice, especially intrigue, can damage love relationships. That’s why I prefer to write short novellas with a limited number of characters rather than long stories. But they were stubborn. They told me not to show off, but to keep watching, listening and writing. You can read the result in the love story ‘FISHING FOR TWO’. -
THE PRESIDENT JOHN.F. KENNEDY NEW HIS ASSASINS!
On 22 November 1963, John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated in Dallas, Texas in broad daylight. The nation was shocked by his assassination Loved around the world, John symbolized America’s commitment to freedom and was a beacon for all mankind. However, he had crossed a dangerous line by naively believing that the President and Congress — comprised of the people’s elected representatives — held all the power and authority.
Back in the White House for a second term in January 2025, President Donald Trump promised to declassify documents relating to the investigation into the assassination of John F. Kennedy. This has been done. However, the documents revealed nothing new, and the topic continues to be discussed by media outlets.
In that year, President John F. Kennedy issued some significant executive orders, knowing he was playing with fire. But he didn’t back down. Shortly before his assassination, he revealed his killers to members of the US Congress. You can read about it in the publication ‘Castrated Republic’. -
A NIGHT WITH A GHOST.
Alex was a natural romantic maritime adventurer. While ashore, he pursued women, drank with strangers and frequented establishments that would have been considered immoral by moralists. He considered this behavior normal, stating that saints existed only in heaven or on icons, and that everyone on Earth was a sinner. He was as frank with women and fellow drinkers as he was with himself. Consequently, he was often the victim of his own naivety. The devil whispered to Alex that the only way to be cured of the torment of temptation was to give in to it. But is there a vaccine for sin? If you have money, you can isolate yourself and continue to sin in secret. If you don’t, you have to compromise and adjust your lifestyle to societal conventions. Eventually Alex realized that he could neither run away from people nor avoid temptation. He resigned himself to it and eventually his career in the company was jeopardized.Luck unexpectedly smiled on him. In a harbor tavern, he met a friend with whom he had once embarked on long voyages. This friend gave him the coordinates of a recruitment center. So, Alex joined a shipping company whose fleet transported small cargoes in the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas.
Seafarers often witness mysterious natural phenomena at sea that defy scientific explanation. This has always made them superstitious, and even today, despite the presence of electronics on board, seafarers still believe in omens. One day, something incredible happened to Alex. He was visited by a strange alien, who materialized into a living being. Anyone else would have been terrified, but Alex had seen a lot during his sea adventures. He spent all night in conversation with his mysterious guest, drinking wine and learning the secrets of conquering women’s hearts. The alien also taught him the magic of influence and gave him advice on how to succeed in society by exploiting people’s vices and weaknesses. To discover this magical mystery you can reading my novella ‘The Mystery Night in Venice’. -
STALIN’S SPY ORCHESTRA
Shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War, a spy network operating across Europe collected information and transmitted it to Moscow. Radio operators within the network sent messages from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France. This is regarded as one of the most successful examples in history of establishing an extensive spy network in enemy territory. It was an orchestra of informants. The German word for ‘orchestra’ is ‘Kapella’. This story was uncovered in the diaries of Gestapo chief and SS general Heinrich Müller.
You can read it in the History & Politics section. -
ARE WE DIFFERENT FROM MONKEY?
In my humorously titled book, Da Breezee Belizee, I explore the mindset of the locals through a series of sketches. Here is some from the story about greed:
“..Do you know how to catch a monkey? In their natural habitat, hunters place a heavy box with holes in it on the ground. They then pour roasted nuts into the box to use as bait. A monkey hides in the nearby foliage and watches the commotion, the smell of the roasted nuts teasing her nose. When the hunters leave, the monkey jumps down and approaches the box curiously. She puts her paw in a hole and grabs a handful of nuts. However, she cannot get her fist out. She sticks her other paw in a different hole, but the same happens again.
The monkey cannot grasp one simple fact: if she opens her fist and lets go of the nuts, she will be free! Greed has overtaken her consciousness! So the foolish creature is trapped, a victim of its greed..”
In this story and a few others in ‘ARTICLES’, I share with you my experience about the attitudes and behaviors of the local people. I am sure you have them in your neighborhood, in your city. -
THE SECRETS OF WWII THAT HISTORIANS KEEP HIDDEN.
For decades after that war, the Kremlin continued to accuse Germany of launching a treacherous attack on the Soviet Union in June 1941. But this is a lie. Here is the backstory.1)On 13 April 1919, the German Marxists proclaimed a Soviet republic in Bavaria, taking advantage of Germany’s defeat in the war. Terror began, as it had in Russia in 1917. The bandits were financed by Moscow. The German patriots, under the war minister Gustav Noske and Franz von Epp, stopped the bloodshed. They shot the Marxist rebels, including Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht. Those who escaped fled to Lenin and Trotsky in Moscow. There, they established a communist international headquarters (Comintern), plotted a global conspiracy and threatened Europe with a new war.
2) Following Lenin’s death, Stalin began preparing his army for an advance on the West. He tricked American specialists, inviting them into building factories, and with their help, militarized Russia’s entire industry in a short time, 10 years.
3) Europe retaliated, and the threat of a new war paved the way for the rise of fascism in Italy and National Socialism in Germany. In 1924, the war veteran and party leader Adolf Hitler published his political manifesto in his book ‘Mein Kampf’. In it, he declared war on Bolshevism, which was threatening Europe.
4) In 1933, the German people elected Hitler to the Reichstag, for his pledge to regain the lands lost by Germany under the infamous Treaty of Versailles. However, just two months later, in March of that year, the Rothschild financial empire, acting on behalf of the global Jewish community, initiated an economic boycott of Germany. They did not want another European empire that refused to borrow money from them.
By 1938, Hitler had regained back to Germany almost all of the seized land and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for that. He was named ‘Man of the Year’ by the Times magazine of New York.5) However, a dispute over East Prussia, which had been awarded to Poland, escalated into military conflict. The Rothschild empire exploited this, forcing the French and British governments to declare war on Germany.
6) In August 1940, the Germans were preparing for ‘Operation Sea Lion’, which involved an invasion of Britain by land, sea and air. Around this time, Hitler received reports from military intelligence and diplomats that in Moscow, Stalin was deploying his troops to the border regions in Poland. Of the 151 infantry divisions, 96 were already stationed on the German border. There were also 23 cavalry divisions and 28 mechanized brigades concealed in the forests. More troops kept arriving to join them.
For the Reich’s military top brass, the accumulation of Soviet offensive artillery units on the border that were not required for defense purposes was the decisive factor in determining whether Stalin was preparing to attack Germany. The Germans did not have any such troops. Hitler realized that his ‘friend’ in the Kremlin was planning to exploit the situation by invading Europe while the majority of German troops would be stationed on the other side of the English Channel. He cancelled ‘Operation Sea Lion’, redeployed the Wehrmacht troops to Poland, and ordered the General Staff to develop ‘Operation Barbarossa’ (from the memoirs of the highest ranks of the Third Reich).
These are the events that led humanity to the WWII. They are all described in the chapters of my book History for Dummies, published here.

AND BACK TO THE CARIBBEAN PIRATES!
It is widely accepted that pirates are bandits and murderers — the scum of society. Most of them were, and still are, just that. However, if thieves, crooks and swindlers can live in luxury and enjoy everything society has to offer, how can someone who robs them be considered a robber? Who is who? It’s a controversial subject. Some of the pirates in the Caribbean were educated officers, or even gentlemen. They had money and a place in society. Yet they chose to play with death, knowing that piracy would condemn them to a life as outcasts, or even execution.
Human society is always unfair. There is a cruel hierarchy in which the privileged few exploit the masses. This breeds hatred. Social revolts do not arise spontaneously. Those in power are aware of this, which is why they provide social welfare to the poor while brutally persecuting intelligent and educated individuals who could incite revolt. Here I offer to you ‘GENTLEMEN OF FORTUNE’, ‘BLACK BART’ and ‘PIRATES OF THE INDIAN OCEAN’.A desire for revenge against the authorities, sparked by violence, drove the educated pirates. There were women among the pirates. Written in the language of Shakespearean times, the tale of one such fate is as aesthetically pleasing to read as admiring the fanciful curves of a Napoleonic chest of drawers in a museum.
When retelling the story, I endeavored to retain the style of the original text, adding my thoughts and feelings. So please, read the life story of MARY READ -
THE SECRETS TO EXTEND YOUR LIFE!
Europeans have valued oriental spices since ancient times. Without pepper, meat would be flavourless and without cloves, wine would turn sour. It was Arab traders who introduced these spices to Europe, but they kept the location of their sources a closely guarded secret. Anyone who spoke up had their tongue cut out. These magical spices were said to grow on islands in the waters surrounding the shores of the mysterious lands of India and China. Chinese herbalists and alchemists made extracts and ointments from spicy plants and fruits. These ointments and tinctures were used to treat royalty! For a long time, merchants used the route through Byzantium to deliver aromatic cargoes from Asia to Europe. However, in 1453, the Ottomans captured Constantinople and imposed heavy taxes on all transit cargo. The price of oriental spices then skyrocketed in Europe, with some becoming worth more than gold!
The monarchs of Portugal and Spain, two maritime powers, realised that controlling the spice trade would grant them global dominance. They began equipping expeditions and sending adventurers to search for the precious islands. In the process, daredevils such as Cristopher Columbus, Vasco da Gama and Fernan Magellan discovered uncharted islands and continents.
PLANET OCEAN is an adventure story about a brave admiral and navigator. It recounts the tale of Magellan’s round-the-world expedition in search of the fabled islands — an adventure that would be remembered by his descendants for centuries to come.

THE JOKE OF MADAME GEOGRAPHY.
Some of my stories reveal the truth behind official accounts of events, thereby casting doubt on them. I enjoy reading the fantasies of people who call themselves ‘historians’, and I am grateful that they inspire me.
The story I am going to tell you is based on the facts recorded by 17th-century naturalist Alexander Exquemelin, who spent many years among the pirates of the Caribbean. During his time with the pirates, Exquemelin observed the region’s flora and fauna, as well as the habits of its inhabitants. Upon returning to Europe, he wrote a book about everything he had seen. This book became a sensation, inspiring Daniel Defoe and Robert Louis Stevenson to write some of their most famous works. It remains an important source of information for writers today.
To this story, I am adding my observations, which I have gathered over many years of leading an adventurous life at sea. This salty tale includes the account of one fisherman and islander who witnessed many events. Welcome to the adventure! -
